Cry Silent Tears
This was a tough read, but hard to put down, as I just wanted to keep reading, waiting for the situation to improve. I have read similar books on this subject before, but I wasn't prepared for the depths of depravity that this child was subjected to, especially by his own Mother!! It was gut-wrenching and made you feel so helpless, because you wanted to reach out and save the child and you couldn't. I know this goes on all the time, and you can't help but wonder what rock the perpetrators of this abuse crawled out from under?!

The title is an understatement. Another tough read, and hard to put down. At the time this book was written, there were 75,000 children in
government care in Britain, and that's just the ones that have been found. How many more are there in the world, being abused, often by there own family? Most of my comments on this one are similar to my previous review. This was a moving account by the author, who was also the
foster parent for this child for almost a year. In all her years fostering, she said this was the worst case she had ever dealt with. Knowing how this child was defiled, I can't say I blame her for acting the way she did. I only hope she wasn't beyond reach to save her, and she is only one of many. Like the author, I hope her parents and other animals involved in this "Rot in Hell!"
